Vincent Olajide Wey is a young dynamic, seasoned chartered Accountant, Financial Analyst and Economist, with over 13 years experience in both public and private sector accounting. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Economics from Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago – Iwoye, Ogun State, Nigeria.
He is an Associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, A member of Information Security and Control Association (ISACA) – Serving IT Governance Professionals.
He started his working career as a civil servant with the Federal Ministry of Works and Housing in 1999 where he was trained on the nitty-gritty of public sector accounting. He rose to the level of Accountant 1 and retired voluntarily to join the private sector. He joined the bank for a short while between February 2009 and October 2009. He was with the United Bank of Africa Plc in the Group Internal Audit Unit as an Assistant Banking Officer.
In 2008, He joined Mediplan Healthcare Limited as a deputy manager, Accounts. His personality which has since expressed itself in the knowledge of his work, stable emotion, sound presence of mind, impeccable sense of duty and disposition, focus and result orientedness, trust and outstanding integrity and performance definitely paved the way for him to attain the position of Head, Finance and MIS, when the opportunity arose in 2009.
