Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Mediplan Healthcare Limited. By subscribing to our health plans, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions, which govern the use of our services. Please read carefully before completing your subscription.


1. Definitions

  • Plan – The healthcare package (e.g., Basic, Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Platinum) purchased under Mediplan’s Health Plans.

  • Beneficiary – The individual resident in Nigeria who receives healthcare coverage.

  • Client – The person paying for the plan (sponsor), who may reside in Nigeria or abroad.

  • Service Period – A fixed twelve (12)-month period starting from the activation date of the selected Plan.


2. Scope of Services

Mediplan provides access to healthcare services through its accredited provider network, based on the plan selected. Services may include:

  • Outpatient and inpatient treatment

  • Specialist consultations and diagnostics

  • Emergency care and surgery

  • Chronic illness management (e.g., dialysis, oncology)

  • Dental, ophthalmic, and psychiatric care

  • Mortuary and physiotherapy services

Coverage depends on the chosen plan tier and is subject to limits, exclusions, and conditions stated in the plan brochure.


3. Subscription & Payment Terms

  • All Mediplan health plans are annual service contracts.

  • Clients may choose to pay annually, quarterly, or monthly. However, the total one-year premium remains binding and must be fully honoured.

  • Monthly or quarterly payments are placed on automatic recurring billing until the contract year ends.

  • Early cancellation before the end of the contract year may attract a penalty or forfeiture of unused balance.

  • All diaspora plans must be paid in foreign currency (USD, GBP, CAD, EUR, NGN etc.) via our designated channels.

  • No refunds are permitted, including in cases such as death of the beneficiary.


4. Beneficiaries

  • The Client is responsible for providing accurate details of the beneficiary.

  • Any false or incomplete disclosure of the beneficiary’s health status may affect access to care.

  • Plans are non-transferable and tied to the registered beneficiary for the full service year.


5. Death of Beneficiary

If the beneficiary passes away during the Service Period, the plan remains valid until the end of the contract year. It is non-refundable and non-transferable.


6. Exclusions & Limitations

Mediplan shall not be liable for:

  • Services obtained outside the accredited hospital network.

  • Treatments or procedures listed under plan exclusions.

  • Claims arising from undisclosed or pre-existing health conditions not covered under the chosen plan.


7. Data Protection & Privacy

We are committed to safeguarding your personal information and beneficiary medical records. Data is handled in compliance with applicable data protection laws.


8. Dispute Resolution

All disputes shall be resolved under the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and subject to the jurisdiction of Nigerian courts.


9. Amendments

Mediplan reserves the right to update or amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. Any changes will be published on our website.
